In addition to the standard non-compete networking programs, the Chamber has two unique networking groups members may take advantage of. They are the Alliance of Professional Women (APW) open to Chamber members and their staff. Visit the APW information page for more information and upcoming luncheons and coffees.

A newly formed group calling themselves "Networking For One" is a social and professional networking for the single professional. The kick-off event was held at Govnor’s Public House in Lake in the Hills in which time was spent networking, followed by a tournament of UNO! Networking For One plans to host an event every other month. The next "outing" is tentatively planned for May. The Art of Networking-Soon

In today’s world, a good solid lead is hard to come by due to the vast amount of competition in all industries. Most are aware that it is much easier to engage and convert a prospect who has been referred to you by one of your contacts, than it is to close a cold prospect. Which is why joining one of the Chamber’s non-compete networking groups is a beginning to expanding your business.

What is a non-compete networking group? - Within each networking group, one member per industry is accepted into the group at one time. The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber has four non-compete referral groups:

AM Networking - 2nd & 4th Wednesday, 9:00AM

AM Networking is the Chambers newest networking group. By focusing as a group to create business leads for one another, each member gains the benefit of real business prospects and measurable growth. Meetings are held at the IHOP Restaurant in Algonquin on Randall Road. For more information, contact Melissa Splitt/Wachovia at (847) 946-1086.

L.A.N.A. - 1st & 3rd Thursday, 7:30AM

L.A.N.A. (Lake in the Hills/Algonquin Networking Association) meets at The Law Offices of Christine Sheen, Ltd., in Crystal Lake. This is a broad based referral group related to services and products directed to the consumer and business. Members learn about each member and their business. Stimulating recommendations and lead generating business. This active group is looking for dedicated Chamber members who are interested in exchanging ideas and leads. LEADS R US - 2nd & 4th Wednesday, 8:45AM

Leads R Us meets at 9 Crystal Lake Rd., Suite 110 in Lake in the Hills. Learn about each other's business through trade-talks, 30-second “commercials” and general conversation, which allows for personal recommendations and valid lead referrals.
