The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber began in 2008, awarding scholarships to two high school seniors.

The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize two young individuals who represent a well rounded high school experience both within their high school as well as in the community.

The scholarship opportunity is available to any high school student residing in Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, or is a family member of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce.

Every year, the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber is proud to offer two $1500 scholarships to candidates that show exemplary service to their community. The Chamber offers this scholarship to help foster the development of leaders for our community who can address the issues of the next generation and have a lifelong dedication to prosperity and philanthropy in business and community endeavors.

Each year, the Chamber awards two $1,500 scholarships to two deserving high school seniors. Eligibility is based on Algonquin or Lake in the Hills residency and/or a family member of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce.
