Knights of Columbus Hosts Golf Outing To Benefit Four Charities

On Sunday, August 22nd, the Knights of Columbus, St. Margaret Mary Council #11091 will host its 11th Annual Hammer Open Charity Classic at Golf Club of Illinois in Algonquin. Million Meals For HAITI - The Salvation Army of McHenry County Need YOUR Help


The Salvation Army and NUMANA are providing millions of meals to earthquake survivors  in Haiti.
To help meet the demand, volunteers from around  McHenry County are needed to help package meals that will be shipped to Haiti.  Everyone willing to help (children 7 and up are welcome with an adult).  Volunteer to package food 2-hour commitment.

Village of Algonquin Announces Fine Art Show - June 5-6, 2010


The Village of Algonquin is pleased to announce the annual Art on the Fox fine art show will return the first weekend, June 5 & 6. Once again, the fine art show will be held in Riverfront Park, overlooking the scenic Fox River. Art on the Fox is free and open to the public. PADS Sleepout For Shelter 2010 - Registration Now Open

The SleepOut for Shelter rally and fundraising website is now live! All critical information including the event flyer, camper kit, release forms, and activities kits are all downloadable from the site. Online registration is an easy to follow step by step process and participants can actually send out emails directly from the site to friends and family seeking donations of support. The site will actually track donations live. Biaggi's Ristorante & United Way Ring In 2010 With Local Families

For the past four years, Biaggi's Ristorante has opened their doors at 10:30am on December 31st inviting Chamber Members and their families to "ring in" the New Year alittle early by helping families in need.

This event hosts a family fun filled morning or fun activities, dancing to a dj and great food all for the cost of a new or gently used winter item to help the families of United Way of McHenry County. "Every year I'm amazed at the number of items we receive" said Dave Barber, Executive Director.
